Objectives
The goal of this collaboration with UCSC’s Teaching & Learning Center was to design a visual identity—capturing the culture and values of two existing entities on campus—and also to design and develop the launch of a new website, marketing materials, and signage.
Exploration
Solution
The effort to reimagine the visual identity for the new department, which included visual identity and supporting graphic language and guidelines was completed in 4 weeks. We had another 4-6 weeks to collaborate with the internal team on the content, design, and development of the website for launch.
A rigorous, inclusive auditing and mood board process allowed us to identify the needs of the department quickly so that our first round of creative solutions was extremely close to our final product.
